This robot leaked oil that resembled blood, to keep itself going it had to sweep the blood back to itself, only to leak more and more. It died 2 years ago.

This has got to be one of the most heartbreaking and fascinating art pieces I've ever seen, wish I could have seen it in action. Of course, they did take many videos.
