Max was the first artist I worked with, mainstream/underground, etc., that TOOK DIRECTION. After I played him the beat, I gave him a SENSE of direction and just let him go. Funny story, the hook was originally "Ow, ow, ow, owwwww!" But I asked him to scrap it and try to work with "I'll be just fine". From there, he took over the hook.

I know he's a busy man these days and that by working with him, I might be severing ties with my other Harlem brother Jim Jones, but we in fact do have a musical chemistry. And not for nothin', Max and I can bring Dip Set BACK.
